Description of Program:
Spend 4-weeks in the eternal city as a part of our Rome program! In continuity with our founding mission to prepare young people for leadership in the service of truth, our Rome campus seeks to offer students in every program and discipline a unique opportunity for academic growth and personal development. During the Summer term, you will delve into one course - Benedict Yesterday and Today - which is a part of the university's core curriculum. So whether you're studying a medical profession, education, business or biology, in Rome you study with 25 other students in dynamic international setting created especially for you.
Eligibility:
Students are eligible to study in Italy after a semester at the University of Mary, and must be in attendance at least one semester immediately prior to participating.
Participation is a privilege, and approval by the University of Mary is required. Students must be in good academic and behavioral standing in order apply. The minimum GPA requirement for the summer term abroad is a 2.5.
Academics & Credits:
Students take one 3-credit class: THE/CTH 234 Benedict: Yesterday and Today (3 credits, Theology core or “THE 200-level or above” core elective)

Program Fee: $750
Room and Board: $750
In addition, students are responsible for the following costs:
Round trip airfare, tuition, and spending money for personal travel and meals on the weekends.
Short Itinerary:
4-weeks in Rome + group excursions to:
Assisi, Norcia, Monte Cassino, and Subiaco
